Are We Out of the Woods Yet?

I love having photography friends and people in my life who understand my love of creativity. In case you haven't heard, Georgia is currently in a "civil emergency" from all the snow. This allowed some of my friends to come together and do an outdoorsy shoot yesterday.

I am IN LOVE with some of the shots I got. I haven't done a shoot in awhile, so it was nice to get back into it. :) Special thanks to all of my beautiful models! Feel free to check out all of the photos on my Flickr!

Two NEW Beach Vlogs!

With all the snow that has hit Georgia, it's obviously fitting that I finally uploaded my Florida Vlogs from two years ago.

I filmed these whenever I was still really awkward with filming in front of other people so the best thing I could do with the footage was put some music behind it. My newer videos are better than this. Promise.

Two NEW Hiking VLOGS!

Back in September, my friends and I went hiking at Georgia's highest point, Brasstownbald Bald. I finally edited and uploaded the footage to my Youtube channel today, and you should definitely go watch both vlogs. We ended up being stranded after our hike for like ten hours so they are worth watching.

That Time We Went Hiking with a Goat (Part One):

That Time We Were Stranded in the Wilderness (Part Two):

Have you ever locked your keys out of your house or car? Tell me about it below. I have done it on my own plenty of times. We can't be the only people to be sent on a whirlwind of misadventure from this... I will have a new blog post up tomorrow!

Boscia Skincare: Bestsellers Review

boscia skincare review bestsellers makeup breakup cool cleansing gel konjac sponge charcoal aluminizing black mask photography beauty

Hello, world!

I have returned, and I am talking about Boscia skincare products. I am in the process of finding a skincare routine that really works for me, and through digging through Boscia's bestsellers, I think I have found some new favorites.

According to my research via the internet, Boscia (pronounced Bō-sha) originated in Japan in 1979 by Kenji Ikemori. Inspired by his wife's struggle with red, blotchy skin, Ikemori wanted to design products with no preservatives or chemicals that would be entirely natural and actually heal the skin. In 2002, the brand was introduced in the United States and has taken off ever since. Boscia is the world's first 100% preservative skincare brand.

Products tested:

- Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser

- Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel

- Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

- Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil

- Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Bamboo Charcoal

Before we get into my reviews, let me tell you about what I know about my skin at the moment. I have pale, sensitive, combination dry/oily skin that is red and covered in cystic acne. I am not a skincare expert by ANY means, but I can tell you when my skin likes something.

1. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I was excited about this one just because I had heard so many good things about the product before purchasing it. I have tried it a few times now, and for my skin, it really is just too much. It caused more redness, dryness, and acne than any other mask I have used. That could be because it just does its job too well? I don't know. I'm sure that is what's happening just because there are so many raving reviews, but for me and my cystic acne, it really was too much.

2. Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil

This stuff is fantastic, and a little bit goes a long way. It is a gentle makeup remover that is quick and simple. I have used it for a little over a month every time I wear makeup, and my skin has had zero problems with it. It is definitely worth the price, and I will be re-purchasing this as soon as I run out.

3&4. Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser & Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel

I grouped these two together simply because they were both sample sizes. I was able to get two uses out of each sample, which is enough for a solid first impression.
They were both okay cleansers, but I was not blown away by either one.

The Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel is supposed to break down makeup with no problems, but it definitely failed that test. It would make an okay morning cleanser for someone with oily skin probably. After using, it dried out my skin worse than a winter storm. I also disliked the smell. It's subtle enough that if the product was better, I could overlook it. I'm just not a big fan of rose-scented anything.

I guess Boscia Cleansers and I just don't mix. I personally enjoy First Aid Beauty's Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay more than Boscia's Detoxifying Black Cleanser for a regular cleanser. I would recommend the Black Cleanser as something used more like once a week than a regular basis, if at all. I just was not happy with this either... especially for the price.

5. Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Bamboo Charcoal

I genuinely thought this thing was some sort of ploy when I heard about it, but I kept reading reviews and looked more into the science of it and thought why not give it a try. I'm glad I did. This has made the biggest difference in my skin in the past month. Slowly but surely I am making progress in clearing up my acne, and the Konjac Cleansing Sponge is making a huge impact in that progress. When dry, the sponge is rock hard. Don't let that freak you out. Just add hot water, and you are good to go! If you would like to see a video on how to correctly use the Boscia sponges, let me know. I will be re-purchasing this in the near future.

Strange Things Are Happening to Me.

As I type this on February 3rd, 2015, I am sitting in the Emergency Room.

No one really knows what is going on at the moment. I had a CT of my head done a few weeks ago, and it was normal. First thing they did when I arrived at the hospital today was a Neck CT. That showed multiple enlarged lymph nodes all around my neck. I'm waiting to get the results from my blood and urine tests and a Chest X-Ray. I will be getting a biopsy of my largest swollen cervical lymph node sometime tomorrow.

quote christian god strange things are happening to me pink cursive all things work together for his good sucksI was in a car accident on October 8, 2014. It should have been a minor thing. I was yielding before pulling out on a main highway, and of all things a Polaris rear-ended me. I didn't have any issues at first, but that night, my neck and back began to ache. I went to a doctor a couple of days later; they said I had whiplash and recommended me out to rehab and/or chiropractic care.

A few weeks later, I began going to a Chiropractor regularly. While they were checking my range of motion during my first visit, I almost passed out. That was just the beginning of all the fun episodes I would have.

I have had my left arm be completely numb, lost hearing in my right ear, had a belching/would-have-been-throwing-up-spasm-if-I-wasn't-terrified-of-throwing-up, random eye shrinking and dilation, eye puffiness, headaches, memory and processing issues, fatigue, sensitivity to light and sound, and neck/back pain. Sometimes, I'll even become unexplainably sad, but if I turn my head a different direction or lay another way, I have never been better.

It's all actually quite interesting.

I came to the ER today because on top of how bad the Neuro stuff has been the past two weeks, a gland on my left side of my neck began to bulge and was extremely painful.. still is.

With all that said, I am okay. I know that God has a plan in all of this, and it will work together for His good. It kinda sucks at the moment, but hey, it could be worse. He knows what He is doing.

I wasn't going to blog about any of this, or even tell anyone outside of those I am closest to just because I didn't want it to be taken as me complaining or seeking attention, but two things occurred to me.

1. These strange things that are happening to me are a part of my life, and I am the one who named this blog "Tales of Tiffany Love" so it makes sense to tell you all the tales.

2. If I keep my mouth shut, it doesn't leave much room for God to work.

And as I am closing this post, I have realized a third thing.

3. Writing about this stuff is quite therapeutic.

I know God totally has this under control, but prayers would still be appreciated. Specifically, that the doctors will be able to figure out what is happening, and that they will have solutions to the problems. If God decided to heal me, I would be okay with that, too.

I will keep you all updated.
